Some companies fire employees they catch working on their resume. Some let people go when they find their resume on Monster or some other job posting site. That's odd to me. Do they want employees who don't want to work for them? What kind of service do those employees deliver? How committed are they to the company vision? Is that what you want? Jobs. The latest 4 letter word being thrown across the aisle in Washington ... before Congress took a 1 month vacation. There is a battle for your hearts, minds, and votes. There is a problem with the jobs debate. The debate is based on the pre-1992 economy. We are arguing about an economy that died when new technologies took on life. Is your job beneath you?

I had a job as a mail clerk after college. I worked 60 hours and made $17,000 - that included 5 hours of mandatory overtime (we weren't allowed a lunch hour). There were times I would get down on myself. I'd get caught up in what other people thought of me because of my job. I tied my job to my value. I felt the job was beneath me.
